
Selah did an excellent job representing DCS at Class D All State Band as the coveted first chair clarinetist. A huge congratulations to this young lady for her hard work and discipline for such a wonderful accomplishment!!


3rd grade worked in groups to read, play and discover several mystery songs. They did great!

Junior High Choir traveled to Arapahoe's 5th-8th Grade Vocal and Instrumental Contest on Saturday, April 5th, and competed against 14 Class D and C Schools. Choir received a 1 (Superior). Performing duets were Kenedi Merklin/Tenlee Havel (I Superior) and CaLee McCorckle/Sasha Knight (I Superior). Soloists were Maelee Forch (I Superior) and Molly Spargo I+ and 2nd Place Medal for Junior High Girls Vocal Solo)

Fifth grade spent part of the morning observing worms to see in what kind of conditions they prefer to live. Students then discovered the critical role they play in decomposing dead material and releasing nutrients into the soil.






These students were recognized for maintaining academic excellence while also participating in an activity. Klayton for Speech, Tagen for wrestling, Laynee and Lexie for basketball, Dante and Ethan for basketball, Emma for Speech


We gave out basketball and wrestling letters and also RPAC certificates and medals.




Congratulations to the 3rd Quarter Honor Roll.


Perkins County High School Track & Field Meet originally scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 5, 2025, has been postponed due to expected cold temps. DCS will not be attending the rescheduled meet due to competing in Cambridge on April 12th.

The speech team is bringing home some hardware from the state speech meet. Congrats to state champion Emma in Poetry. Emma also received 2nd in POI and Klayton 3rd in Extemporaneous. Together they placed 5th as a team. Go Tigers!
