Our trip to Old Town Burlington in Burlington, Colorado was like stepping back in time! 🤠
Students explored a variety of historic buildings including a general store, jail, school, church, and bank—just to name a few. They were even entertained by a short play in the old-time saloon!
We had hands-on fun churning butter in the creamery and enjoyed a wagon ride out to the fairgrounds. The highlight for many was riding a 120-year-old carousel—such a special experience!

We had so much fun harvesting the lettuce we planted back in April in our grow tower! 🌱🥬 It was exciting to see how much it has grown and to enjoy the results of all our hard work.
To celebrate, we had a lettuce party and were joined by a few high school students and their teacher. It was a great opportunity to connect, learn together, and enjoy some fresh, homegrown greens!

Monday we celebrated a very special wedding… Q and U finally tied the knot! 💍💙
Our class had so much fun being part of their big day. We enjoyed cake, ice cream, and punch to celebrate, and of course ended it with a dance party! 🕺🎉
We were so excited to have our guests join us—Preschool, 1st grade, and 3rd grade made the celebration even more special. What a fun way to learn about how Q and U stick together in words!

DCS is upgrading to a new school calendar platform, BOUND! We’ll be transitioning from RSchoolToday to BOUND starting June 1. We’re excited about this change and the improvements it will bring. As with any transition, there may be a few bumps along the way, so we appreciate your patience and support! Bound provides a mobile app as well. Starting June 1st, RSchooltoday/Arbiter will no longer be updated.

Yesterday morning, Toby, Kye, Kenzie and Kimber earned a Disco light show for reaching 50 AR points. They have read at least 100 books while in first grade. We are proud of these young readers!
