It’s baaaack! Friday celebration at DCS hasn’t happened for a few weeks. It was great to celebrate our family’s accomplishments together again today. We talked about the difference between internal and external motivation and how our EXPECTATIONS for ourself outweigh our potential.
VIPs were awarded to the entire DCS staff for their help during Prom. Peyton Rife, Ely Troutman, Klinton Rinne, Slade Marlin, Blaine Aldridge, Raiden Buffington, Cale Lutz, Haley Ladenburger, and Dylan Shillington. Travis Terwilleger was nominated by three people this week! Dante Horner by two. Congratulations to all.
We honored our “F” Clubs and their State winners and Mrs. Peckham thanked Mrs. Cahow for her help with Speech.
We also welcomed two new babies to our family: Scout Stroup and Eliza Loker. Congratulations parents!

The newspaper notice for a school board meeting on the 10th is incorrect. The meeting will be Tuesday the 11th of April, 2023, and will start with a budget hearing at 5:25 with the regular meeting to follow immediately after. Congrats to a successful FCCLA State convention! Two teams were runner up and qualified to compete at Nationals in Denver!!! Klayton Rinne, Laynee Lutz, Emma Baldeh, Lexie Yrkoski, and Leila Bernard are eligible for nationals with being named runner up! Jennifer Franco won Sr Divison in Health and Wellness. Alyssa Schneider placed third and Klinton Rinne and Abi Foster won bronze medals!
Nebraska FBLA held its State Leadership Conference in Kearney on April 3, 4, and 5. Congratulations to our Dundy County Stratton FBLA members for their acheivements! At the NE State Leadership Conference, Laynee Lutz and Klayton Rinne placed 1st in Introduction to Event Planning; the Graphic Design team of August Miller, Kimberlee Cole, and Carley Gordon placed 3rd. Both teams qualify for nationals. Klayton Rinne also earned Honorable Mention in Word Processing (top 11) and Intro to Financial Math (top 20). Our chapter earned the Gold Seal Award of Merit and 2nd place in Largest Chapter Memership for Class D. Through our service projects the chapter earned recognition ribbons for our work with the March of Dimes, the NE FBLA Foundation, Feed Nebraska, and Connect 2 Business. Congratulations to all of our officers and members for your hard work throughout the year!

FBLA members are all set to compete at the State Leadership Confernece in Kearney April 3, 4, and 5. Members have submitted pre-judged items and await the final results at the awards program on Wednesday. Other members will be competing over the next three days. Good Luck FBLA!
